❊ Pause, reset, remember why it matters

Hey there, Reader,

I’m raising my hand right now to advocate for my kids’ school.

It’s not convenient.
It’s not easy.
But it aligns with my values, and that alignment is what fuels me.

That same kind of fuel is what we all need when the work of shaping careers, families, and futures starts to feel heavy. Because here’s the truth:

Longevity doesn’t come from powering through another to-do list.
It comes from finding joy in the shaping itself.

Neuroscience even has a name for it: the IKEA Effect. We place higher value on things we’ve had a hand in creating. But if the process leaves us drained, we disconnect and walk away.

That’s why it matters to come back to your why.
Not to pile on more tasks.
But to remember what makes the work worth it.

When your work lights you up, the load feels lighter.

Take 5 minutes today to jot down three reasons your work matters to you. Let that be your reset button.

And if you’re willing, hit reply and share one of those reasons with me. Sometimes just naming it out loud is the first step back to clarity.

Rooting for your why,
Kourtney

It just skips the part where belief has to change before behavior can. Here’s what nobody names. Between “I don’t like this” and “I’m changing it” is a belief. Specifically, the belief that change is even available to you. Most women...
